1. Enhance Mass Transfer Efficiency and Accelerate Reaction Rate

Improved on the basis of intalox saddles, ceramic Intalox super saddles feature serrated or corrugated raised structures instead of smooth curved sides, forming multi-channel fluid paths inside. This design significantly increases the specific surface area of the packing (typically reaching 100-200 m²/m³) and raises the porosity to over 85%. When gas and liquid flow through the packing layer, the contact area is expanded, the turbulence level is enhanced, and the exchange of reactants is more sufficient, thus remarkably improving the mass transfer efficiency.

2. Reduce Pressure Drop and Optimize Fluid Distribution

The serrated or corrugated structure of the packing increases the interlayer voids, enabling smoother flow of gas and liquid and reducing the pressure drop by more than 50%. This characteristic is particularly suitable for working conditions with high gas velocity or large flow rate, such as flue gas desulfurization and natural gas dehydration processes, which can cut energy consumption and prevent equipment overload. Meanwhile, the unique curved edge design reduces the "wall flow effect" of liquid, ensuring uniform fluid distribution, avoiding local flow deviation, and further improving the uniformity of mass transfer.

3. Corrosion Resistance and High Thermal Stability for Harsh Working Conditions

The ceramic material endows the packing with excellent acid and heat resistance. It can resist corrosion from various inorganic acids (except hydrofluoric acid), organic acids and organic solvents, and maintain stable performance in high-temperature environments (≤1000℃). This feature makes it widely used in the treatment of corrosive media in coal chemical industry, metallurgy, coking and other industries, such as acetylene flame arresters in the chlor-alkali industry and drying towers in the sulfur-based sulfuric acid production process, significantly extending the service life of equipment and reducing maintenance costs.

4. Anti-clogging and Self-cleaning Capability to Reduce Shutdown Risks

The open multi-channel structure reduces fouling accumulation, and liquid is not prone to clogging when passing through the packing, making it especially suitable for media containing particles or prone to scaling. For example, in processes such as dewaxed oil refining and extraction and phthalic anhydride purification, it has strong contamination resistance, a long cleaning cycle and low maintenance costs, ensuring production continuity.
